I recently saw a similar challenge online and I thought a
family challenge would be great to bring back some of our old traditions. Today, just about everyone’s attention is primarily focused on their phones, iPods, computers, reality shows or some type of new gadget. What better way to become closer as a family than a family challenge. So, I created this family challenge with you in mind. Find a way to fit the 2 Week Family Challenge into your schedule. Tell your family that you are all going to complete a 2 Week Family Challenge and that you would like them to participate.
This is going to be fun!!!
Week One
Day 1: Give everyone in your family a hug today.
Day 2: Ask everyone to say a prayer for everyone in the family.
Day 3: Ask everyone to tell a joke, tell jokes together and
laugh together.
Day 4: Tell your kids about the good old
days.
Day 5: Text everyone or tell everyone that you love them at some
time today.
Day 6: Everyone should talk about how their day went.
Day 7: Turn the TV off and sit down at the table and eat dinner
together or go out to dinner at a restaurant as a family.
Week Two
Day 1: Plan something together like a vacation, a little getaway
or the movies.
Day 2: Make it a point to give compliments to each other today.
Day 3: Make something together… cook dinner, draw pictures or
make a picture frame.
Day 4: Look through old pictures together.
Day 5: Put on some music and have a dance contest. Show your
kids some of the old dances.
Day 6: Take a walk together as a family.
Day 7: Watch a movie together.
Find some time to discuss the 2 week family challenge with your
family. Talk about what you liked about it, what you thought was fun, what you
may like to change or add and when you want to try it again!
Leave your comments below, we want to hear from you. Tell us what you think about the family challenge and if you plan on taking the challenge.
